So! Last night I decided to pop in Ar Tonelico Qoga and catch up a little.

Next thing I knew, it was four am.

Other things: I've got a pair of steaks marinating in the fridge for dinner - I am pretty sure there will be enough leftovers to keep me for a couple days, too.

Also I promised [livejournal.com profile] freebacon that I'd make him a barbecue sauce recipe. I am thinking a chipotle-peach barbecue sauce sounds pretty good! I've been looking for an excuse to use those chipotles anyway.

And yesterday morning I decanted and strained the orange-mint vinegar I made. It smells...well, like fresh oranges and mint.

Gaga Fandango Barbecue Sauce

I followed through! As a note, though - this produces a lot of sauce. Better have a mason jar handy!

So I made the steak and onions for dinner. Just holding a slice of the steak in my fingers was an experience - it felt almost like butter. And the meat itself was so tender I actually managed to cut it with a spoon.

Yes. Seriously.

Also I tested the Gaga Fandango sauce with the steak and I think maybe it's a bit spicy as-is. A 1/2 cup of peach or mango nectar would probably fix that right up.
